Our Beginning – Make You Smile
The name M.Y.S (pronounced "Mize") comes from the initials of "Make You Smile".
Our aim is to create a space where smiles come naturally —
a place where simply being there brings joy to those who share it.
That’s the spirit behind M.Y.S Tokyo.
Through little details and thoughtful gestures, everyday life can become that much more comfortable and full of character.
At M.Y.S Tokyo, we share ideas and inspirations for living naturally, enjoying casual daily life with ease, and finding joy in a style that feels effortlessly your own.
For us, these “little touches” mean paying attention – noticing what feels right for you.
What feels effortless to some may feel like effort to others. That’s why we encourage you to find your very own rhythm, your personal version of a life shaped with care.
We also share ideas for weaving ethical choices into your lifestyle, not as effort, but as a natural part of everyday living.
PROFILE

miho mochida
Spatial Designer / Prop & Flower Stylist / Ethical Lifestyle Designer
Food Education Instructor / Gut Health Planner / Japanese Herbal Cuisine Expert, Sogetsu Ikebana Instructor
Born in 1980, mother of two.
From an early age, Miho grew up surrounded by international guests through her father’s work, often helping her mother with home-cooked hospitality and table settings.
After working in Japanese finance, she married and had children.
During her time in Singapore, she was inspired by multicultural dining scenes and countless home gatherings. It was there she began creating her own style – an urban & natural food space, casual yet playful, and always authentic.
At the same time, ethical living was a frequent topic among her international friends, sparking her interest in sustainability.
Back in Japan, she launched M.Y.S Tokyo in 2020, focusing on food and spatial styling. She also became certified in gut health and Japanese herbal cuisine, developing menus that children and families can enjoy with ease.
In 2021, life took her to the UK, where she expanded M.Y.S Tokyo from food styling to holistic lifestyle design, emphasising that every space – not just the dining table – should feel comfortable and inspiring.
In 2022, she opened M.Y.S ROOM, a salon created as both an atelier and a community, hosting a variety of workshops.
Since 2025, she has been based once again in Singapore, where M.Y.S Tokyo continues to grow internationally.
